Scott Atwood, the 102nd Governor of the Montana District, passed away on the morning of April 13th, 2023.

If you knew Scott, you know he was a fastidious and thoughtful man whose woodcrafts were artworks. Those lucky enough to have a "Scott box" will treasure it always. His dedication to the beauty in natural life and natural materials was second only to his love for those he held dear.

A quiet man, he was prayerful and reverent of each of us and our contributions. His oft-quoted line ended most conversations with, "You've given me a lot to think about here. Let's talk more."

Our hearts are broken for his beloved fiancé, Jan, and his children. His all too rapid passing is a reminder to us - hug those you love. Tell them now.

Our prayers and all best intentions are with Scott and his family. Godspeed, dear friend. We miss you already.

Thank you to Past Governor Cathy Tutty for this beautiful notice.
