Happy New Year!
and Congratulations on making it to
100 years old!
That’s right. The Kiwanis New Year is October 1 and this year is the 100th year of Kiwanis in the Montana District. We will be celebrating in grand fashion throughout the year – much more to come on this later. Our celebration and Birthday Party will happen in Butte in August 2021 (God's willing and the pandemic settled).
For this day, I invite you to look newly at your club and your community. What are the needs TODAY? Who are the people and groups in need of our hands TODAY? Where can we offer the most support TODAY?
After all, we have only now. And as you know, Now More Than Ever, Kids Need Kiwanis and Kiwanis Needs YOU.
I am so thrilled and honored to serve as your Governor for this Kiwanis year. Shedding tears as I write this, I want you to know that you are all winners for the difference you make. (Did you know EVERY Kiwanian impacts 206 children EVERY year?) Who else do you know who could join our team? Invite them TODAY!
SOME KUDOS: Today, we honor and thank Mary Brydich, 10 years our district secretary, and Hana Ciembonowicz, 7 years as our district Guru in all matters web and communication. Your handprints are on our District forever and on our hearts, as we move forward in the District, building on the strong foundation you have established. HUZZAH!
To Immediate Past Governor Jim Greene, we as a District would not be here without you and your dedication and foresight. When you warned us to be prepared for the ‘strange virus in the Far East’ we would have been wise to listen. Thank you for being proactive and building the District during the strangest of times!
And TODAY we start anew. Fresh from a great year under the prior boards and officers, and looking forward to the kids we get to support and the difference we get to make!
With your Lieutenant Governors, I will be ‘meeting’ you as appropriate for the wild times. We all must care for each other, covering our coughs and sneezes, washing hands, granting space to others – sounds like what mom taught me before grade school. Please take care of each other and share the amazing opportunity that is Kiwanis in your community.
Governor Cathy Tutty
