Wow! You do know how to party! The Montana District Convention rocked the District this week at the Copper King Hotel. More than 125 Kiwanians and family members learned, toured, planted trees, and enjoyed great music, grand speakers, and a glorious time!

Another Round of Applause for all our winners: Community Impact Person of the Year Rochelle Hesford; Snell Recipients: The Crow Nation, Kristel Callahan, Alan Loendorf, Peter Walther; Diamond Zeller recipient Mary Brydich; and all the Distinguished Club Presidents and Secretaries: Sunrise Butte, Silver Bow – Butte, Anaconda, Billings Golden K, Billings Heights, Sidney, Belgrade, Bozeman, Harlowton, Columbia Falls, & Helena! Your work will NEVER go unnoticed!

Congratulations to our Governor Designate Cherie Neudick of the Lewistown Kiwanis Club! She IGNITES us with her passion and her energy ~ What a great person to lead us into the next year of Kiwanis. Cherie is a sparkplug and a strong woman ~ Underestimate her ~ that will be fun. She is POWER personified!

“After the last ‘no’ comes a “YES” and the future of the world depends on that YES!” Our surprise newly elected Governor-Elect Designate, Scott Atwood of the Billings Heights Kiwanis Club. He was inspired by Dave Curry during our Leadership Playshops, and after more than Eleventy-Billion conversations, Scott said YES! Our future is in great hands with Cherie and Scott.

Between the silent auction items and the 100-year Governor Trophy Stands, the District donated $2,653 to the Kiwanis Foundation of Montana for the Playground Project and $2,653 to The Kiwanis Children’s Fund toward the Montana Eliminate pledge. Clubs will also share more than $1,400 through the Trophy auction proceeds.

And just like every school, we just keep going. We may have a change in officers, and our mission remains the same ~ SERVING THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD, ONE CHILD AND ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME ~
