WOW! WOW! WOW!

It’s hard to believe, but Mid-Winter 2022 is officially in the rear view mirror!

It was so exciting to see everyone and hear all the wonderful speakers! We had great representation from across the state. The Mardi Gras Party Friday night was super fun!

Here’s a huge shout out to Past Governor Barbara Monaco, our Youth Protection Chair, and International Past President Dave Curry for their presentations.

The updates from the Key Club Administrators and Circle K Administrator were energizing. Key Club Convention is in 3 weeks March 20-22. Please encourage your Key Club advisors to get the kids there.

International Vice President, Katrina Baranko and Area Director, Rhonda Vrelle did an excellent job talking about leadership and how to identify potential leaders in our clubs.

The awards luncheon by IPG Cathy Tutty was fun and inspirational.  It should make every club work hard to achieve excellence. David Toth announced he is running for governor-elect!

The banquet Saturday night wrapped up the event with the Quilt raffle drawing, silent auction, and 50/50 drawing. The quilt raffle raised an astounding $4714.00 for the Kiwanis Children’s Fund! The winner was the Boulder Club. The silent auction proceeds are going to the Montana District Foundation and the 50/50 funds are going to Landon’s Legacy.

Look at the featured picture showing the mounds of pillowcases, blankets, roller bags, and diapers that we were able to donate to the Foster Care children of Montana! Another amazing look into the hearts of Kiwanians!

I will be shifting gears for the rest of my term as Governor and focusing on children with special needs. Whether it is autism or any other childhood malady that they need help with. Watch for more specifics of that.

It’s impossible to name everyone that made this convention a huge success so I will just say IT WAS A SUCCESS BECAUSE OF EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU! I was IGNITED and I hope you were as well.

I am also starting another quilt raffle. The proceeds of this one will go to the Montana District Foundation. As I resume my travels, the quilt will travel with me. The tickets will be available soon through the LT Governors.

“In any moment of decision, the BEST thing you can do is the RIGHT THING, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the WORST thing you can do is NOTHING. – Theodore Roosevelt.

My phone is always on. Do not hesitate to call or email me your concerns and your ideas!
