WHEW! Time truly flies! As we come into our 2nd month of the New Kiwanis Year, I am excited to visit the Montana Kiwanis Clubs and view first hand all of your achievements in your community. Winter may slow me down, but you will see me at some point during my year as Governor. My word for my year is “INSPIRE!” We as Kiwanians should be the inspiration in our community and schools. A simple “GOOD JOB” or even a bright smile or a high five, can change a person’s day. Think about the simple little things that we take for granted, yet can mean so much to a person having a difficult day or year. Pay attention and look for the “tells.” “INSPIRE TO ASPIRE TO GREATER HEIGHTS!” What greater height in Montana? Our beautiful Mountains! I have a lapel pin for each of you that has the word “inspire” and the “I’s” are the mountain peaks. I look forward to sharing them with each of you! Keep up the GREAT WORK, it is truly “inspiring!”

Esther Fischer, MT District of Kiwanis Governor 2023-24

“BEEF UP” MONTANA

This program is designed to encourage membership growth within our clubs and in the Montana District of Kiwanis. We’ll also recognize those people who sponsor those new members. The Kiwanis year is broken into quarters and the club with the highest percentage of growth in each quarter will receive a beef package. The Club with the highest yearly growth will receive a beef meal cooked by me. It’s a FUN way to encourage growth and offer recognition to those that excel! As I travel around the state, you’ll get to meet “RED.” He’s “bullish” on members!!

If you need help or ideas on how to recruit new members, please contact me.

KIWANIS - A SERVICE ORGANIZATION

Bet you didn’t really think about the idea of treating your fellow man as being Biblical. Leviticus and Mathew both speak about “loving your neighbor as yourself.” Who in their right mind treats themselvespoorly? No one! So, we are asked to treat others as well as we treat ourselves. Service to others, caring, protecting...these come from God through the Bible. Think about it.

Human & Spiritual Values Chair - Julie Berg
